Lummi Nation in U.S. challenges B.C.’s consultation on infrastructure projects | Global News

The Lummi Nation has filed a petition in B.C.’s Supreme Court seeking judicial review of the province’s consultation approach for several large infrastructure projects in the Lower Mainland.

Dr. Caroline Elliott, a policy expert from the Aristotle Foundation for Public Policy and the Public Land Use Society, spoke with Global News about the case. Dr. Elliott says government policy has opened a Pandora’s box for First Nations on both sides of the border.
